Computer control is via a side mounted connector and lead An extensive RS232 command list is supported This connector also supports cloning of data between two AR8200's along with tape and detector output, mute and AGC A computer lead with level shift and PC windows software on CD-ROM is available, up-date information through the AOR website on the Internet. Another accessory is a connector with free end lead for Scout or Super Searcher (see frequency counter section)
A series of optional internal slot cards which fit into the AR8200 base extending the capabilities even further. Memory slot card, increases storage to 4.000 memories. 160 search banks. CTCSS slot card with added squelch and search facilities. Record chip slot card which records up to 20 seconds of audio. A t one eliminator slot card for use on the shortwave bands, and a voice inverter slot card which makes intelligible some of the scrambled transmissions on the bands. Supplied with Ni-Cads, charger, cigar lighter lead, whip antenna MW bar antenna. belt hook and screws, strap and a comprehensive illustrated operating manual.
